Profile
Jiandong Ju is Unigroup Chair Professor at PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University, and Chairman of the China Trade Research Group. He serves as Vice Chair of the National Institute of Financial Research and directs research centers focused on international finance and economics, green finance, and international digital capital.
After receiving his doctorate in Economics from Pennsylvania State University in 1995, he held faculty positions at the University of Oklahoma and Tsinghua University. He later served as Professor and Dean of the School of International Business Administration at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. His international policy experience includes serving as a resident scholar at the International Monetary Fund and as a consultant to the World Bank.
His research has appeared in the American Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, and other journals. His teaching centers on advanced international trade and finance, trade conflict, and the re-architecture of globalization.
